Kuća je kuća. Dom. Mjera. Otok. Iskustvo. Baština. Zajam. Nekretnina. Zajednica. Željeni životni objekt. Slika koja nikada nije ni postojala ili je samo najedanput bez traga nestala. No, što je kuća bez stanara? Naizgled, i dalje je kuća. Što se popisuje, arhivira, čuva i predstavlja kada nečiji privatni prostor postaje muzej? Koje spone vežu protokole dodira, brige i skrbi u prostoru privatne kuće i javne institucije?
Filmska instalacija Ane Hušman posebno je osmišljena za prostor Zbirke Richter. Nastala je nakon dvogodišnjeg istraživanja zbirke, arhiva i nekadašnjeg stana bračnog para Kareš Richter. Publika je pozvana prošetati se cijelom kućom, izložiti se potencijalnim scenarijima korištenja prostora, pratiti dijaloške orijentire nastale na teorijskim tekstovima Vjenceslava Richtera. Kroz dekonstrukciju klasičnih muzeoloških protokola selektiranja i izlaganja, gledanja i kretanja stvara se špijunka uperena u okruženje, misli i ideje nekadašnjih vlasnika.
Na kraju, Ana Hušman daje ravnopravni prostor i drugoj osobi čije ime zbirka nosi, Nadi Kareš Richter. Njezina utjelovljena pojavnost postaje signal za sva ona tijela za čije mjere gradovi, putovi, ceste, stanovi nisu krojeni.
Kuću, u kojoj su živjeli i javno djelovali, Vjenceslav Richter i Nada Kareš Richter počeli su graditi još 1956. godine. Zbirka i prostor, istovremeno privatan i javan, razvijali su se postupno te su tu oformili centar za proučavanje sinturbanizma, utopijske ideje modernoga grada. Richterovi su kuću s parkom skulptura poklonili Zagrebu, a kao javna Zbirka, kojom upravlja Muzeje suvremene umjetnosti, otvorena je 2000. godine. Obrađena i popisana, zbirka je stekla je javni život. Prostor bez stanara dobiva nove funkcije. Radna soba s knjižicom postaje arhiv, a stambeni prostor završna scenografija koja svjedoči o pedesetak godina života i rada jednog para u jednoj kući.
Izložba je održana od 25. studenoga 2021. do 30.siječnja 2022.

Zbirka Vjenceslava Richtera i Nade Kareš Richter, donacija Gradu Zagrebu
A house is a house. A home. A measure. An island. An experience. An inheritance. A loan. A property. A community. A life goal. An image that never existed, or one that suddenly disappears without a trace. But what is a house without a person? Still a house, it would seem. What is it that gets labelled, archived, conserved when someone’s private space becomes a museum? What connects the protocols of protection, touch and care in the case of a private house and a public institution?
Ana Hušman’s cinematic installation was created specifically for the space housing the Richter Collection. Hušman spent two years researching the collection, archive and the Kareš Richter couple's flat. Visitors are invited to walk through the house, be exposed to potential scenarios within the space, and be guided by dialogic clues based on Vjenceslav Richter's writings. By deconstructing the classic museological protocols of selection and exhibition, viewing and moving through a display, Hušman has created a peephole, one opening up to the sites, thoughts and ideas of the previous owners.
Finally, Hušman gives equal weight to the other person whose name the collection bears, Nada Kareš Richter. Her embodied appearance signals all those bodies for whom cities, roads, streets, flats are not made to measure.
The house that Vjenceslav Richter and Nada Kareš Richter both lived in and used for public functions had started being built in 1956. The collection and the space, simultaneously private and public, were developed and eventually formed into a centre for the study of Sinturbanism [Synthetic Urbanism], a utopian idea of a modern city. They gifted the house along with the Sculpture Park to the City of Zagreb, and it opened to the public in the year 2000, under the management of the Museum of Contemporary Art. Processed and catalogued, the collection began its public life. A house without people obtains new functions. The study and its library became an archive, while the living area became the final scenography testifying to the fifty years the couple spent living in this house.
The exhibition was held from the 25th September 2021 to the 30th of January 2022.
